 What Sets Us Apart

Michalski Nielsen Associates Limited prides itself in providing
personal, professional, practical, and cost-effective input to
often complex issues surrounding land use change and its impact
                on the natural environment.

We make a point of understanding our clients, and their specific
needs, in order to serve them better.

The company maintains a small staff and focuses specifically on
natural environmental issues, in order to provide our clients
with the personal service and experience to complete their
                project as efficiently as possible.

We understand our role in the project, and the importance of
other members of the project team. On most assignments we work
closely with the planners, engineers, lawyers, architects,
landscape architects, hydrologists, and a variety of other
                professionals.

We are results oriented, and know the approval process and how
to ensure projects move through it as seamlessly as possible. We
have a strong working relationship with all the approval
authorities, and have been very effective in helping them
understand our client's position, and resolving complicated
                matters.

Our staff knows that issues related to the natural environment
are important to many people, and understand the value of
effectively communicating with the public, and building their
                support.

While the collection of good quality environmental inventory
information is a critical part of our practice, our knowledge of
the implications of this information to land use change is
equally important. We understand land use change, its potential
implications to resource features, and the most effective ways
                of mitigating harmful impacts.

Our work is solid and the positions we take are defensible. With
well over 100 appearances before the Ontario Municipal Board and
other legislative tribunals, and considerable additional
experience before the courts, we have consistently and
successfully defended our positions as environmentally sound.
